Wwes problem with the universal championship (or either of them) is that they can't just book the unexpected anymore.

Instead of handing the title back to Brock they could have took a gamble onca very over wrestler and see what they could do with it. Make them a star by developing themselves. Kinder doesn't count as he was given it as a marketing exercise.

But generally even storylines are telegraphed. Everyone knew Roman finally wins, that the sheild break up , that drew and ziggler will feud eventually, so there is no shock factor. Imagine them giving balor a title shot and him actually winning, someone outside of the featured storylines so it shocks people and gives the writers more freedom to run , giving the obvious Feuds the way out of title challenges for them.

My problem was what they did with Ziggler.... He's no longer a credible top heel or babyface because of how weak they've booked him for years, then suddenly at Crown Jewel he gets to beat Angle clean (should have been Rollins, Elias, or Ambrose beating angle).... then the next Raw (after getting to the final at Crown Jewel) Ziggler is back to losing clean to Elias...so what was the point of Crown Jewel?...

Remember it was ziggler that won the team Cena Vs authority match also. The issue I think is not how they build ziggler up but how they do nothing with it anytime. They could have had him given the title round that ss or best in the world Vs the beast as the next title match , give him a chance to run with the momentum. They never do that, even now they slam him with McIntire despite his obvious push away from ziggler.
