Anyone been watching the TNA British Bootcamp series on Challenge?

The finale just aired, and Rockstar Spud won the TNA contract. I mention this, because Spud is also a big Everton fan too.

Yeah,watched it and glad he won and he was my pick-he has that son of a bitch type Attitude i think is great in a wrestler-and that flip type move in the final match is great to watch as done by the odd few who attempt it in the wwe,but did not know he was an everton fan,but as we all know the other 3 will get a contract in the end i would think.

TNA is frustrating. They have advantages that very few "newer" companies have (really good talent, decent name recognition, high production value) - but they're maddeningly inconsistent. Every time they get something hot going, they either end it stupidly or stretch it out for so long that everybody stops caring. One of the biggest knocks on them for years has been that they're so obsessed with competing with WWE (which is laughable, tbh. Vince couldn't care less about them.) that they're willing to push any former WWE star who comes in to the moon at the expense of the homegrown talent they should be focusing on. They've gotten better about that, but it's still irritating.

They also *really* need to take their show on the road more. The Impact Zone is a major problem. I know people always say things like "hey, doing most of your shows from the same place worked for ECW," but it's completely different. ECW fans were still real fans, and behaved appropriately. They got into the storylines and played the role they were supposed to. They reacted to faces and heels appropriately, booed/cheered at the right stuff, etc. The Impact Zone is just the same gang of self-important nerds every week. The crappiest crowd in ECW history was probably twice as loud as the average TNA audience.

Was delighted to see Spud win. Really geuinine guy and always a laugh to be around. And, as mentioned earlier, he's an Evertonian too!

I always hoped he'd get a crack at one of the companies in America and now he has. I think he has all the potential to be a big star there

They're taping two shows, so it should be a good night.

Hope the weather isn't too bad though - heavy snow is forecast for tomorrow afternoon/early evening, plus if you were planning getting the train there, a rail replacement bus service is operating from Earlestown onwards.

Yeah saw that they have priced the Rumble, brilliant.

Gonna have a bet on Randy Orton at 8/1 and Punk at 25/1, can see him losing the title and then entering the Rumble last and winning it.

John Cena is gonna win isn't he? I will fume so much. I've heard rumours of Miz, Orton and Sheamus all winning but Cena is the only one that makes sense. God I hope I'm wrong here. Cena wins, faces Rock at mania for the title. *sigh

Looking forward to seeing Bo Dallas in this too.
