GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Here's something for all you old school fans, for the holiday House Show run (which continues at MSG tonight) WWE have added one of the best tag teams of the 90's, the New Age Outlaws in matches against Rhodes Scholars replacing Mysterio and Sin Cara. The Outlaws won on a show in Detroit last night I think.
 
As Stevo27 mentioned above, New Age Outlaws had their first match back together as a tag team in WWE on Boxing Day, at a house show in Detroit against Team Rhodes Scholars. First match together in WWE for nearly 13 years - last time being February 27th, 2000 at the No Way Out ppv!

Both now work behind the scenes for WWE, Road Dogg as an agent/producer helping the wrestlers put together their match, and Billy Gunn recently started as a trainer down in developmental with the NXT talent.

Hopefully they'll get at least one match on tv together soon, for old times sake. Was a big fan of these guys back in the late 1990s.

I was watching my "Austin vs Mcmahon" tape the other day and it featured Austin and The Rock feuding for the IC title before both guys moved on to the big one.

Howevere the difference between their standings then and Barretts now is just ridiculous, him being IC champ means precisely f all for his career, whereas before it was a useful belt to give guys as an actual secondry belt on your way to the World Title, or while one of your main guys was taken out of the world title hunt for a bit.

It would be like Cena and Sheamus feauding to the IC belt and it actually meaning something instead of it being put on whatever mid card guy they feel like for no reason.
 
I agree, it would be a weird concept but you need someone who's really, really over to make it credible.

I mean, if the IC or US belt got onto a face you could somehow get it on an uber heel to give the belt credibility. For example, if you could somehow get the IC onto Santino and then have him have a segment feud with Punk/Heyman and somehow Heyman gets a match against Santino and the shield/punk help Heyman become champion it would be massive and a main event type scenario.

I realise how crazy I sound suggesting something like that but it would be great to see.
 
I've watched WWE for years and years. I can't remember everything from years gone by, but what I have noticed is Heyman always dissapears, returns and is more over than anyone in the company.

Can anyone tell me why Heyman always dissapears? Does he always fall out with Vince etc?

Im not entirely sure but i don't think he's that well liked by higher ups in WWE. Maybe not Vince himself but certainly Stephanie and him don't get on.

Ideally he should be a regular on screen performer and on the writing crew but i can't see that happening again. Think he's purely on screen at the moment unless i've missed something.

Luckily, I'm watching repeats rather than live these days so the blow is lessened.

Does anyone think Ziggler will successfully cash his MITB Briefcase in? I'm really having doubts whether it's going to happen or not. I suppose they could be saving it for Wrestlemania. Sheamus wins the title on the show and then Ziggler charges down and cashes in the briefcase.

I have my doubts.

Cena will get in the way I think.
