GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Have pretty much stopped watching in the last 3 or 4 years...but still long for the nostalgia of the good oul days.

Feel free to respond with your favourite:
1) Tag Team
2) PPV (an entire event that popped)
3) Match (one that stands out)
4) Singles wrestler

*not restricted to wwf/wwe or wcw etc

Having grown up with it in the late 80s / early 90s and returning to it in the attitude era, my picks are as follows;
1) Edge & Christian - excellent in and out of the ring
2) Survivor Series 1990 - tv debut of the undertaker and grand finale match of survivors
3) Hart Foundation v Demolition @ Summerslam 1990 - best two out of three falls for tag titles, LOD run in
4) Stone Cold. Not for technical ability but just to hear that glass smash and crowd erupt.

1) Hardys. Loved the high flying, risk taking, and grace when doing it all, especially Jeff (his Swanton Bombs were a think of beauty).
2) I don't remember whole events.
3) Hardys v Dudleys @ The Royal Rumble. The one when Jeff Swantoned Bubba on top of the Beetle?? Or the Ladder Match when Edge speared Jeff out of the sky!
4) The Rock. 'Nuf said.

Edit:
4b) Ultimate Warrior. Didn't get to see much of it when I was younger, but Warrior was immense. The sprint down to the ring, shaking the ropes, just generally being mental and then out 'Hulking Up' Hogan! People should watch videos of him before they go to work to get them fired up for the day ahead. F it, get Schniederlin on an hour of Warrior matches before he goes out on the pitch, then he might look half arsed!! :o

1) Demolition

2) probably Wrestlemania 5 or 6 for nostalgia.

3) HBK vs Taker wrestlemania (first match), for me the perfect match...the added bonus of Taker nearly killing himself was the only time i ever thought the streak would end.

Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect at Summerslam (forget the year).

Rock vs Hogan, would have loved to have been in that crowd.

4) Austin... Had stopped watching until he came along...........as a kid, Randy Savage. 'Best wrestler' for me is HBK.

thats probly my exact same picks... obv same era as me

did you go to summerslam 92?? i actually went to that

No would have loved to have been there.... Was kinda that funny period where Hogan was gone, and guys like Warrior were laying off the steroids...

i would of been 11 at the time, and i still remeber having to pester me old man like hell to go. obv he wasnt keen on it, but even he admitted after what a show it was.. 90 odd thousand people in the old wembley, i was sat right above where they come out.

I'd have been 14 then...yeah must have been an unreal experience

Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect at Summerslam 91
Great match. Breakthrough moment for Hart. Not a great talker but one of the best in the ring...a meticulous worker. I think Perfect had been IC champ a long time and ended up with his leotard all ripped up tapping out to the sharpshooter.

Another short but memorable IC match was Honky Tonk Man getting squashed by the Ultimate Warrior in about 30 seconds at Summerslam 88.

Bobby Heenans commentary when Hart hit the sharpshooter ;)....
