GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Depends how much they think it might affect the buy rate I suppose..... 5pm start UK time (Pre-show) 7pm start (Main Show), would be Midday in NYC, with Main Show kicking off at 2pm, which isn't the worst... But California time would be 9am Pre-show, with 11am Main show.....

Year long fans in America will watch it whatever the time, but might be harder getting the casual (Wrestlemania only) fans on board....

Don't bealieve this will ever happen sadly at least not for many more years. The time difference will always be the killer on this. They're more likely to try a filler PPV out first or even a SummerSlam because of 92 before they go all the way with a Wrestlemania. They alredy make most of their Raws and Smackdown shows over here poorer then in the States because there taped so I just don't see this ever getting off the ground.

Mauro Ranello, against all odds is returning to WWE to commentate on NXT from next week onwards.

Glad to see him back and hope he's got the help he needed.

At least he's away from JBL on there.
It's obviously been a bit of a PR nightmare for WWE, I'd imagine they'll be fair with Ranello for the foreseeable future and give him a bit more respect.

Definitely. He got treated horrendously before. I imagine he will be getting a very generous wage this time round.

And NXT will suit him well I think.

As a side note, why does Michael McGuinnes sound nothing like he looks?! Hahahaha

Or they could apply for an exemption licence, run it at midnight UK time until 6am. They'd sell out Wembley regardless of the time and then have an ideal spot for domestic audiences.

It's certainly doable, and from a marketing perspective they actually should do it. Remember, they don't rely on PPV revenue anymore - it's all through the network pretty much - so PPV buyrates aren't really much of an issue.

Ludicrous decision to take the MITB briefcase from Carmella. They've made a mockery of the whole thing now, she went from getting no reactions to getting one of the most heel reactions on the show and now they've runined it. Zero consistency with the rules on interference, it happens in pretty much every MITB match and nobody bats an eyelid. I get that it was an awful decision to have a guy take the briefcase down in the first woman's MITB match but to undo the match so quickly just makes everything even worse. I'm fairly confident that Carmella will win again next week so it's really foolish for WWE to not just ride the storm out, since when do they care what the fans think anyway?

They could do that but I doubt they will without trying a filler PPV out here first and even then certainly not for many years.

... I think you've bought a work here mate.

From what I've read, I think it was booked that way from the start, with nothing changed due to a 'backlash'.

My guess is Carmella wins next time with Ellsworth interfering to stop someone catching her on the ladder, by holding a leg or something.

It seems like classic heel heat progression to me.

But it was fine as it was. Carmella had the heat heel reaction (i doubt she'll reach that level again) and they've damaged it undoing the MITB result so quickly. The bad guy/gal should be seen getting away with everything before "justice is done". She will of course win next week which only begs the question of what was the point in reversing it at all? It's just a swerve for the sake of it.

The point is storyline progression and heel heat. Despite being warned, the heel breaks the rules again, but this time the woman legitimately climbs the ladder and takes the briefcase - the man simply stops other women from doing so.

I may be wrong but very much doubt I am.

That is almost certainly what will happen but it cheapens the whole MITB concept even further. It's WCW 2000 style booking to take the briefcase back so quickly and order a rematch that will undoubtedly have a similer result. You dont need this type of nonsense to get heat for Carmella, she already had it following the PPV and I don't see how a second MITB match with the same result will push her heat any further particularly so soon after the first one.

They deliberately booked a night of screw jobs at MITB so Bryan could right all the wrongs upon his return

This was always the plan

I agree that it's stupid
