GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Last night's RAW is a prime example of why you shouldn't have a part time guy as your world champion. Nothing feels main event calibre most weeks and were left we two or three good mid card matches, this makes for a very unsatisfying three hour show most weeks.

"Um, won't the people be mad at Roman for retiring Taker?"

"Well, we just won't mention it then."

"Why not have Taker endorse someone as his successor?"

"No, we always want to leave the door open for him to return."

"OK. Why not have a heel who can brag about retiring Taker? That way, if Taker does come back, he's got a ready-made program. Why does Roman have to beat Taker?"

"Roman's got to beat Taker."

"But why?"

"Because it's a big accomplishment."

"That we won't mention."

"Yes."

It is incredible that they have spent the past what, 4/5 weeks with barely a mention of any title. Go to smackdown and you get the Number 1 contender weeks in advance and they can build a feud. Raw literally has no number 1 contender and no champion now for the second time in 3 years? 2 years?

Yep, it's just ridiculous at this stage. I understood it the first time with Brock Lesner but not this time. The Goldburg V Lesner match at Wrestlemania didn't need the title on the line and nither Goldberg or Lesner needed the title full stop. The Cruiserweight matches are pretty much the only thing I really enjoy on RAW right now. Smackdown is just an altogether better run show then Raw.

When you consider this as well;

Bray Wyatt / Dean Ambrose / Roman Reigns / Braun Strowman / The Miz / fin balor / seth rollins / samoa joe

What have they all got in common?

the answer? All the biggest stars in the company to some extent and have no official world title to compete for. In fact in the grand scheme of things, ambrose mix and wyatt were taken away from a competitive environment and put on a show which literally is going to run for a total of 2 PPV before you even see anyone challenge for the title. and even better story writing is the fact Strowman is still in a feud with reigns so neither is any closer to a main title shot!
