He had an excellent game in anyones book, considering it was his debut & he was out of position he was very impressive & should get another chance against Sunderland, should have buried the chance were he was flying in & put it over but it was difficult so it would be harsh to criticise him

People are being harsh on him here, no player gets the ball for 90 minutes, nobody. The fact that it was his debut meant people were probably looking out for him far more than other players & so noticed it when he didn't get it for a couple of minutes

He's an 18 year old who's just had his 1st taste of premiership action so it'd be stupid to start saying he's this or that, but he had an excellent debut & there were really positive signs from him so give him time & there's every chance he'll become a regular name on the teamsheet

Lets give the kid a chance I remember Howard Kendall when he made his debut it was forgettable but he didn't turn out too bad:lol:

Well he got MOTM in The Mirror and we all know what a quality newspaper that is. They said "A star is born".

Maybe a touch over the top, but i was pleased for the lad and was impressed with his showing.

He's great. It's not just that he keeps getting in goalscoring situations, but his all-around play has been great. His passing is especially impressive and he tackles and tracks back well.

Think he's got the potential to develop into a good box-to-box midfielder for us.

Lad got a standing ovation in the dressing room at full time Moyes said.

Good to hear.

That is outstanding to hear in all honesty. Only the team knows what he can do, and if they are impressed then by heck so should we be.

Too many people seem to think they know everything. I would rather listen to the people that are actually in the business.

Welcome to the fold young Gosling. Make yourself at home.

Debut game, shows promise, gets some great praise in the papers.
2nd game, bangs a goal in on home soil, standing ovation from the team and staff.

His Crimbo must've been the best he's had in years hahaha:D

Lad could be something special but lets not get carried away.

Early days yet but still adds a nice extra bit of shine to 2 victories that one of our youngsters has made a good start for the team.

I'm proud after watching the replay this kid can be something special. One thing I noticed is his positioning even though he missed a sitter the last game it still takes a sharp mind to be in the right place.

Gosling did more yesterday than he did in the entire game against Boro. Was direct and injected a bit of pace into the team. Took a good position up to score his goal as well.

Dont want to over hype Gosling because we have been there before with Branch, Jeffers and co, but for a young midfielder, the future looks bright for this lad. For any midfield player that gets themselves into goalscoring positions on a regular basis, can only be a good sign. He may have missed several chances against the Boro but the fact that he got into those positions is very positive. He was on for the final 22 minutes against Sunderland, went on several direct runs and made up for those misses at the Riverside.
