I didn't see the match today, but how'd he do? any potential for this season, or does he still need time?

Not many will agree but definitely Needs Time.

Was largely anonymous for the majority of the game, made 1 great challenge in the 2nd half and missed 3 or 4 glorious chances which should have been put away. Ossie can rest easy put it that way

He done well i thought. He played some neat and tidy football and has a great engine on him.

He's not an exceptional player by no means but he looks a decent player for such a young lad.

I thought it was a great debut. Didnt put a foot wrong, fast, had good interplay and got forward well. Had two glorious chances but the kid will learn fast. Awesome tackle on Adam (Johnson?). I'd say Ossies days are numbered when this kid hits his straps.

Not as good as some people are making out, it wasn't a man of the match performance by any means.

For an 18 year old on his debut though he did do well. Won a few tackles, used the ball well and got up and down the pitch really well.

He looks like a decent prospect, better than I thought he'd be but nothing compared to the likes of Rodwell and Baxter.

I think thats pretty harsh. He's been given a chance in the starting line-up and he took it and did well. If he'd have slotted one of those chances would your tune be different?

I think he'll be a good player.

Did very well. It's also worth noting he was played out of position.

Made one very, very good tackle to win back possession and did well to get into the box - has a great engine on him and didn't stop running or tracking back. Was also very composed on the ball and made some decent runs and passes.

With some more games under his belt he would have the composure when shooting and maybe put some of those chances away but all in all, a very good debut for him. He didn't look particularly out of place at all, just somewhat anonymous for spells - perhaps only because almost all of our play was on the left with Pienaar and Baines?

I told you he should play.

I think your right though, most of our play was on the opposite side to him so it was hard to get involved. When he did get involved he used the ball well though which was good to see.

The main thing for me was his movement and interplay. If you take away all the other things he did, good or bad, an 18 year old fitting into the style of premiership football straight away is really quite rare. A very useful option to have for games like today.

when put into context he did amazing.

remember 1st game. 18 y.o

and Yes, he did seem to go missing here and there,

and YES he did miss 4 chances at goal..

but something about him that screams "i belong here" a case of finding his feet a little and i'm very confident he'll be amazing.

let's see

Spot on, he didnt look out of place, thats the main thing, he didnt look like a young lad making his debut, he slotted into the team and whilst he did miss a few decent chances, its all about being in the right place.
