Since standing sections have been removed atmosphere in most grounds have suffered.

In days gone by, if you wanted to sing people would head for a certain part of the end they were in, I guess this was a singing area without the heading.

In all seating stadiums people don't have that choice

Happy for it to happen, won't make any difference to me unless it is in the Upper Bullens

Seems to me we already have a singing section under the UG immediately behind the GS goal. Thing is it rarely sings! The guys in the St End towards the Bullens Rd do more chanting. Problem with this is that the St End will often have two different songs going at the same time.

I think we an all agree that this problem is because the Lower Gwladys are scruffy bells doing cheap beak and being clueless predijiced bells towards even our own players.

I'd bulldoze the Lower Gwladys and start again. Allocate at least 50% of it to the singers and the rest to wools.

Yeah I'm all for it, I'd get my ST there so long as it wasn't in a bad spot.

If you want to go the game and not sing then fair enough, I don't have a problem with that whatsoever, just makes some of us a bit nervous about singing at times. Like minded fans sat together belting out some classics sounds good to me.

Yes, why not. I go the game for the atmosphere, if there is a good view, then even better.
Goodison is morgue esque, not as much as Klanfield but still bloody awful.

Singing sections always smells a bit of a forced atmosphere, should just happen naturally or not at all.
I would not say it's forced just encourages it. Most people in allocated seating will not just burst into song if no one else around them is willing to even if the other end of the ground is bouncing for fear of looking a bell and quite right. But I'm sure there are lots of people sat there wanting to have a chant and would if they were in a section where likeminded people are sat/stood.

Strange this topic has been brought up again as most on here seem to think our fans are the best in the league etc.. So obviously we don't need a singing section??(blatantly do)This is to those who were disagreeing with me after i said are fans are poor after the Reading game etc haha

The "Fan group who meet monthly with Club officials to offer feedback on a variety of fan related issues" have been asking this question;

What do you reckon? Would you like to see a singing section introduced at Goodison?

I think it's a good idea.

Fans from around the ground who get frustrated that the support is not vocal enough could now go to a specific area to contribute their efforts.
