We've already got a singing section, it's called Goodison Park. Unfortunately, singing is less prominent these days, mainly due us having diddly squat to sing about for over twenty years.

If there's demand for it then why not?
If lids want to go the game and group together for singing then the club should help facilitate it as there's a sizeable amount who want this.
I know it's normally the done thing to come into these threads and act a tit sneering at the different stands but there's a seemingly nice set of blues wanting this so I wish them well.
Well done @Big Neville Southall for putting your point across eloquently and good luck. It's not my cup of tea but I'll sit elsewhere accordingly.
Agree. It's not just the arl farts either. I think we've got some massively paranoid younger supporters who spend too much time worrying themselves sick about how what we do compares to a certain other set of fansThe arl farts calling it small time are the same people who calls anyone who suggests taking flags and banners to the game Kopites, basically, the same people who sit there all game in stone cold silence except to shout abuse at Barkley or Lukaka for being "lazy"
And Kenwright the honoury member? For the yes sayers who would go in one, where would be your ideal spec? You may have to expect that the views may not be the best.
Ideally I think GT8 would be my choice. (Back corner of the Gwladys St Bullens side).
Standing no problem, it starts half way up the Gwladys St with a barrier in the front row so no one feels uncomfortable being on the front row of the standing. No one to the side of you so you can feel more at ease doing what you feel like. Better views on the back row though you do have your usual obstructed views for posts.
It is also the old Boys Pen, so it's got a great history there with the singing from old scals and Street End Bootboys doing their youth in there. You can get upto 200 lids in there. We'd be the The Boys Pen lids....
Oh God NO!
Depends if @chicoazul is there to squeeze ya balls!Would we sing the NO! in a tenor or soprano?
Unsure. I've always hated the idea of a "singing section" but the atmosphere these days is absolutely dire.
I'm not one for the "ultras" section at Palace, for example, but people are going the other way and acting as if anyone singing at the match is an idiot, which is pathetic. If you want to sit quietly and observe, watch it on TV.
Chelsea and penalties against Norwich aside there hasn't been a single good atmosphere at Goodison this season, not even the derby.
Something needs to be done. If it was up to me I'd make the whole of the Lower Gwladys a "singing section" and allow standing (not sure on the rules regarding that). Anyone moaning to the club about swearing, standing, flags etc. gets told to sit somewhere else.
True that! I gave that place up after 9 years due to spending most of the game in the bogs.Only Park Enders squeeze each others balls![]()
Not saying they're idiots. Unrefined, maybe. With a lack of understanding of football, maybe. Idiots, maybe. In this very thread:
Been thinking about this and I've realised that it might actually be a good idea.
We can look at the Palace "ultras" and label them trendy smells or whatever but at the end of the day, they're having a fantastic time with their mates watching their club play football.
They get to sing, stand, wave flags all to their hearts content. The rest of the ground feels the atmosphere. The players probably enjoy the support and atmosphere it creates too.
What's so bad about that, really?
