I'm assuming that's just league goals?
In his first 34 Premier League appears for Everton, he scored 19 goals.
Yeah, league. Even if you go for overall stats, the ratio is about the same.

Yakubu didn't get a sustained run after being out, he was finally fit and raring to go when we sold him.
I'm convinced there was major questions on his age.
Spectacular fall out of the premier league.
When he was scoring reckon he wasn't late twenties. Really early thirties.
Hence why people were reluctant to spend money to get him from us

What do you mean by "Spectacular fall out of the premier league"? He took the easy route to a cushy league like many players over 30 do. His league scoring rates suggest no such fall-off:
2007–2011 Everton 82 games (25 goals)
2011 → Leicester City (loan) 20 (11)
2011–2012 Blackburn Rovers 30 (17)
2012– Guangzhou R&F 43 (24)
He's 31 now. Some strikers from European countries aren't maintaining that sort of form at that age.
But your suspicions are otherwise justified (I had them too). Some African footballers have a history of faking their birth certificates to get better contracts. No one well-known was ever accused, but a few no-marks were caught out a few years ago.
Frankly Yak always looked older than his supposed age when he was mid-20's. But look at him now, and he hasn't aged. He's just got one of them faces.
Obafemi Martins is the most suspicious one for me.
He left Inter in 2006 aged "21" after 6 years of being with them, where he did pretty well.
His last 3 clubs have been Levante, Birmingham on loan, and Seattle Sounders. He is apparently 29 years old.
Is Martins still capable of running superfast and doing those crazy somersaults? Might be an indicator...
Yak did well in a lower division for awhile but of course so did Kevin Phillips.
