Hunting the KGB killers on channel four the other night.

Well worth a watch this about the Russian former KGB fella poisoned in London, Alexander Litvinenko.

The insight he gives to the police in his interview on whilst dying is an eye opener, going all the way to the top to Putin.

Shows the Met police investigation and how they tried to poison him a number of times at various locations in London, tracked by the radiation they left behind.

Also shows what lengths the Russians go to, even when the Met police went out to Moscow to "interview" he alleged murders they ended up getting poisoned themselves!

Well worth a watch. Think it's repeated on that more 4 channel.

Heartwarming story of the illicit (and risky) 'video nights' that sprang up in Romania during the brutal final years of Ceausescu's regime. Families and friends would gather to watch western movies on copied, dubbed VHS which showed a very different way of life and in many cases sewed the seeds for dissent and ultimately revolution. In addition it documents the life of comrade Irina Nistor who dubbed entire films at massive personal risk and become, quite literally, the voice of Hollywood. Great stuff. It's on Netflix.
