...I won't put the kiss of death on you but -7 is some score on the first day of a US Open. I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't far off the winning score on Sunday.
They will toughen the course over the weekend.
He's mugged me so many times this kid, but he's so likeable a la Garcia.
I will cash out in about half an hour, that's the plan anyway.

..I feel I own half the clubs in his bag I've backed him so often. He's always done well in our open and this type of golf clearly suits. Fingers crossed for you.
Great words 'half the clubs in his bag'.. I'm nicking that !
I backed him top 20 as I said earlier to pay for the weekends bets.
Fancy that now.
Knee jerked on my Dustin exposure, hence going heavy on Rickie first round leader to try and get some of that back.
Sergio looks full of confidence, hence me cashing and legging it.

...Garcia -2 after 1.
Standard.
Wrong thread I know, but Weaver was banging on about a horse for the Windsor Palace.
Round about 12/1 ?
Won last 3 and two were handicaps ?
Any idea ?
He said if it was trained by O'Brien it would be 4/7 ??

My mates a scratch golfer, who's tips are gash as well.
His number plate is PGA too..
I give him grief, constantly.

Wait until Sunday night. Then count how many golfers end up under par. They don't like people beating par in this one.

Wide fairways are wide, though. The USGA can only do so much to up the ante with pin positions and closely mowing the greens (without turning it into a farce). Keep in mind that par for this tournament is 288 rather than the usual USGA setup where par is arbitrarily set at 280 for a course where par for four rounds is normally 288.

I don't think double digits under par will be required to win this, but I don't think it's out of the question either.
