He hit the ball miles better than everyone else in contention. But he couldn't get the ball in the hole. Is it just fundamentally an ability issue or is it mental with the putter? Is he just not as good a putter as the rest of these guys?

I still think he will win another one at some point but it must be devastating for him.

Clark played well. It wasn't a classic tournament that's for sure. I just can't believe how often Rory has these rounds where he makes zero putts.

He has too many rounds where he makes nothing for it to be just bad luck. And I dont believe its the pressure getting the better of him either. Maybe he's just not a top level putter. And its very very difficult to win a major if you cant hole anything outside 6 feet.

I think this is correct. Watching Woods in his peak years, he just holed everything within 10 feet, it was like cheating it was so good. If Rory could do that, given his brilliant long game, he’d be winning everything in sight.

He very rarely gets Harry his caddie to look over any putts which I've always found quite strange, just for the extra pair of eyes.
