Scheffler is the real deal. We saw that in the singles at the Ryder Cup when he dismantled Rahm who was on the top of his game in the singles. This year he’s been unbelievable. This week tee to green he’s been Morikawa esq and his short game has been Speith esq in his prime. When you combine both of them together, your basically unbeatable. Well done Rory on a brilliant finish, let’s hope he can take something from this week into the other majors this season.

I was just thinking...hard to lose when your short game and putter are that dialed in.

It’s what made speith the player he was for a couple of years. If Rory had a career of Speith’s short game from that period, he’d probably have won about 10 majors.
Rory's putter has always been crazy streaky. He used to string four rounds together and win for about a month at a stretch. These days, he doesn't string four rounds together, period, all that often. Being great tee to green will let you contend regularly (see: Shark, Great White), but you have to putt to win.
