Goats squad analysis thread 2018/19

I just want to briefly touch on the HomeGrown player rule.

We currently have :

Baines - Out of contract end of season
Charsley???? - Would be shocked if he had a future here
Galloway - See above
Hewelt - Out of contract end of season
Jags - Out of contract end of season
Keane
McCarthy
Pickford
Snides
Iceland
Walcott

So that leaves us with only Pickford, Keane and Iceland who we would wish to retain really, I know some people might question Iceland, but hes going nowhere, DCL would be HG next season and also Joe Williams, but it might mean we retain certain players, like say Walcott, McCarthy for the sake of HG rules.

It will also mean we might have to be a bit more careful when buying players, basically, we need more HG players, something to think about anyway.

I think 5 new starters isnt too bad looking at where we are and what we have to work with.

I think he's decent and would be better alongside a genuine leader. I guess its about opinion. I would consider any big offers on Pick, Keane and Sig to be honest.

its not a bad summary

more key will be the sell list and whether we can actually sell them....and if we cant sell them how much of their wages can we get off the books.

this will directly affect the buy list.

i keep coming back to this. i think its more key to next season than whether we keep Silva or not.

we need a fresh start and having those players off the books and new and/or young players taking their place will lift the whole place.
