Goals on Sunday

Martinez knew in January 2013 he was coming to Everton. Hardly a shining beacon of morality when in work at Wigan

I wouldn't know about that.

The only thing he 'got' was the £ signs flashing in his eyes.

He should have been grateful we let him off the hook.
He was starting to look like the job was affecting his health at the end.

He told Dave Whelan in January he wanted to leave for Everton as the job was coming available , assuming he knew Moyes was about to walk

Dave K I appreciate your opinions and I agree with you some of the time but your constant praise of a man who would have took our club down baffles me. How can you not see that? We are in a much better position now. Yesterday the ground felt like it used to, positive and there was a great atmosphere about the place considering it was Bmouth at home.

I do sometimes think you are trolling us all and are an internet genius, you remind me of this guy.

That's news to me.
But I'm not doubting what you say.

Belgium will win the next World Cup and Bobby will be crowned the greatest manager in the world.

Its written in the stars.

That's cause he didn't have the foresight to try and be hard to beat.
It's a bit rhetorical I guess as Moyes didn't have the dangles to go out and have a go.

Each to his own. Anyhow, they are both toast and Ronald is the current squeeze. Let's enjoy it.

Check the records, and recall the games.
At least under Martinez the idea was to win the game, not hang out for a 0-0 and invariably get tanked.

I recall all the games, we competed in every 1 of them, not 1 of them we got smashed.

Nobody bottled anything, we were just found wanting.

Didnt see much bottling going on versus Utd in 2009.

But a better manager would have won the game versus City being 3-1 up.

3-1 up at City with 60 of 180 minute tie left to play and all we had to do was not conceed 3. Break the game up, slow it down, cynical fouls. That's what a non naive manager would do, Martinez bottled it.
Or, go 1-0 up against a wretched Liverpool team at Wembley and sh1t a brick instead of hanging them out to dry. That's naive.
