As far as I remember regarding the half and half bobble hats, was support for Celtic after they were robbed of the win over Rapid Vienna in the 85 ECWC Semi. That's the first time I can recall seeing them.

As has been mentioned earlier in the thread. There were always chants of Celtic/Rangers in the late 70's early 80's. They always seemed to be around 50/50 in volume.
