Gibson returns and we turn in our two best performances of the season. He's not a worldie, but the guy has Champions League experience and we got him for a pittance. Frees up Fellaini to do some real damage, which showed tonight. Just hope he stays fit for the rest of the season and particularly the semi final. Jelavic will get the highlights because he's a striker, but Gibson has turned the season around IMO with solid but sound basic football in midfield that gives us a totally different shape and allows us to attack with menace. Long may it continue.
 

Could become an Everton legend in the mould of Joe Parky and Carsley. Was brilliant tonight. Assured, in control - there were a couple of errors but for the most part he was solid and gives us balance.

Seriously, allows other players to play better by doing what he does best - just playing some simple football.
 
I've voted for him as MOM in the other thread, gave us the platform to push up the pitch.

Slightly off topic, but loved how the omniscient O'Neill's tactical switch gifted us the 2nd goal!
 

I'm a lot more confident with him in the side. He made one or two gaffs tonight but his experience in the middle of the park is absolutely invaluable. Him and Felli are turning into a very effective central partnership.
