getting behind Fellaini.

he's done ok - starting to look handy in the air and solid enough with his passing. if he was brought in for £2m people would be labelling him bagain of the year. if he was on loan people would be saying "snap him up, moyes". unfortunately he has a price tage that takes seasons to justify, not games. luckily he will improve over the next few years. we definitely have a good player here. maybe a bit more than that. needs to stop kicking people though.

I thought he had a tidy game, nothing more nothing less.

World class I'm not so sure. I think he could be close but I'm not too sure yet. You see the likes of Anderson at Man utd and Fabregas and they are potentially world class players. They boss games on the floor and dictate.

With Fellaini I'm not so sure. He's a handful but I don't see the technical tools there to boss games. He'd tidy on the ball and a decent footballer but nothing more. He's not a Steven Gerrard or an Essien for example. He doesn't have that mixture of athletisism, power and skill.

I'm very happy with him but I'm not going to go over the top. He's progressing nicely but it's far to early to be saying he's going to be world class. World class is a word banded around far too much for me. Lets just see how he develops, up to now he's getting better and better.

That's why he'll never be world class yeh, like I said before, simply not quick enough to be allround amazing. You can still be a top player without pace though, look at Xabi Alonso. I reckon he can be as good as that eventually.

I love him tho. I think 'Come on Marouane!' is my most used shout. He's definitely not a yarddog, he's got vision.

I agree with that, he just lacks certain tools to get to that level.

He'll still be a good player though, I have no doubts about that. He's far from a yard dog.

Having watched the game again Brownie, I take back what

Having watched the game again Brownie, I take back what I said about Cahill. He actually played quite well.(y) Hopefully he can build on it.

Shoulda scored though, [Poor language removed] sake Tim. I miss midweek games so much, only being in the league after getting used to last season is just [Poor language removed].

i though fellaini did well hes getting better by the game.... first game in a long while he hasnt been booked .... he needs a hair cut bad

He will become world class no doubt about it he's an absolute monster in midfield. tackles, passes, wins flick ons, gets up and down the pitch well.

What I also like about him is when he's got the ball he's not hurried into passing it because someone is closing him down he's got the strength to hold of 2 players and pick out a pass.

Absolute monster in 2 years I agree with MikelsGoat.

I thought he did well, stayed calm and looked mostly in control. I was shouting at the telly when he was on the ball if that helps.

He will be a great player, who knows in twenty years time 'Fellaini's gallon of grecian'?:D

I was at the game and then watched it later, sad person, yeah, I know.
Screech played well IMHO, he barely put a foot wrong. There was plenty of applause when he made a good pass etc so I think most people are warming to him.
It's not his fault that he's got that price tag around his neck and that will always be in some people's minds so I doubt whether their opinions will change.

It's like a rewind to Mannygate. No matter how well he played, he would always be the player that left us for Valencia blah blah and some people could never see past that.
For me, Manny was the real deal and it makes me weep when I see Mikel's corners and deliveries into the box compared to Manny's when Mikel was out at the end of last season.

Anyway, please guys, Fellaini is now a Blue so let's just get behind him and help him settle in.
As for chanting his name etc, not a bloody chance, we can just about manage Everton, Everton, Everton at the moment. The place is like a chapel (without the hymns) these days.
It's no wonder the players are nervous at Goodison.:(

Fact is fact and we can't ignore it. Fact is we paid 15m for him and he hasn't delivered what is expected. I will change my mind if he proves how good he is in the future but not now. It's true we cannot blame him for the price tag, in that case, who is to blame? Moyes or BK?

I am just as hopeful as anyone here to see him succeed, but there is still a long long way to go. Thoes who see him as world class, try watching fabregas, iniesta etc.

I thought that was his first real 90 mins for us yesterday. He's been drifting in an out of games so far (which is normal for one so young). But yesterday he was at it from the start till the end. Nearly everything that went through the middle went through him. He's starting to win the ball in the air now aswell. He's also deceptivly quick as well, he covers the ground really well. An he never stops.

He's not world class or nothing yet, but has all the attributes to become immense. Really enjoyed watching him yesterday an theirs more to come. In 2 years time, were in for a top talant.
