Gerard Deulofeu

He should be a fixture on the RW.

Instead we get Lennon today.

Absolutely disgusting.
The real concern is that when Geri has been recently given the opportunities, he's in he mainstay offered very little - perhaps bar Swansea.

However, while he was an improvement on some of the others in the fixture he still wasn't setting the world alight. He's on par with the other lot.

There's a lot of players more deserving of your ire than Deulofeu tonight. Came on, did a decent job then screwed up twice at the end - but at least he did the decent job first, which is more than can be said of the ten other outfield players tonight.

The fact that he hasn't held a place down in this utter dirge of a team speaks volumes though.

On Koeman maybe. The reason he isn't playing is because he can't drop his record signing Bolasie, and he can't play two flair players on either side so he's shoehorned into playing Lennon to balance it out.

Or perhaps I should be "on Moshiri/Walsh", because I refuse to believe Koeman didn't see this problem a mile off. Bolasie was a panic buy that improved nothing.

He needs the love like he had at the start of last season...has to be told how good he is and that hes starting the next 4 games and to get the ball into lukaku.

Not to be facetious, but can we actually afford to take a gamble on him with such imposing fixtures coming? He's no an longer inexperienced lad.

On his day Deulofeu can be unplayable and a real impact, but in the majority of games he can be quite underwhelming and fail to exert himself.

It's a difficult one really as deep down I feel he has the skill and charisma that we need, however right now I don't trust him enough to do it.

Id argue that we cant afford to leave him out given one shot in the last two games

Im surprised at people saying he did OK today.

he did bugger all for me and fannied about with the ball unnecessarily in two dangerous positions.

He obviously had loads of talent but he is next to useless right now. He needs to show a lot more fight (and I dont mean just two footed tackling people either).
