I'm gutted more for you than anything else to be honest

I've had my "moments" with Del over the years, but I still would have kept him had I been given the choice
You sweetheart, thank you x

But unfortunately the writing was on the wall when Koeman sent him out on loan despite Bolasie's injury, he has never seemed to warm to him - which could well be one of the reasons I've never really warmed to Koeman lol

Am just hoping that he does well at Barcelona and gets the playing time he wants, he was so miserable at Sevilla that I hope it doesn't turn into a similar experience.

so what would be the punishment if we told barca to do one? Has it ever been discussed properly that the RS didn't correspond with arsenal when they met suarez' contract release clause?

thankfully that inadvertently led to the slippy moment in which case i'm glad the RS got an extra £35m for the utter heartache all of their fanbase went through .... and then perceived to waste that money once again.

We would we tell Barca to do 1?

We are getting 10m for a waste of space.

Why do forum users think it's ok to make such brutal comments about players ?

Yes I agree it's time for him to leave. I believe that in the whole of 2016 he got no goals and next to no assists, which for an attacking player is unacceptable. He doesn't seem very well equipped for the physicality of the PL. But you know what ? Despite the letdowns I've had a lot of joy from watching him play. Many a time you can feel the excitement around Goodison when he gets the ball, and that's down to his skill and his pace, and what he's capable of. So goodbye Gerard, you'll be remembered fondly in these parts for a long time to come.

It was just bait mate, but you made me feel bad now.

Ive said all along, I would like to retain him, but Ronny and 4 managers before him cant stand him at all, as ive said, he must be 1 of the biggest bellends in football.

Ha, I don't think we should, just be nice to pipe those beauts down for a bit. Let's be honest, when you compare it to the stupid fees Bournemouth have been paying for tosh it's a bit annoying

Yep he had many faults, but I for one always love watching any player, especially in the royal blue, who can get you off your seat, can do stuff on the pitch that for my limited ability as a player makes you go wow,and he did that for me,also appeared to appreciate the support he got from the fans, good luck Geri lad!!

I really like him myself, honestly, but he just isn't consistent enough. Be a shame to see him go but honestly I won't be losing sleep over it. Hope he does well wherever he ends up, in fact I'd like to see him go back to Milan as he seemed to enjoy it there.

Criminally misused.

Was he though? In and out of both the Everton & Sevilla sides and practically discarded by Barca. Three/four managers can't be wrong surely?
.

Has the player actually agreed to go back to Barca?
Given his previous experiences there and his lack of first team opportunities again if he were to return. What's in it for him?

Just because Barca say they want to exercise the clause doesn't mean its a done deal, just that Barca want him back at a previously fixed price.

Would he not prefer somewhere he's going to get a game occasionally considering that was why he left them in the first place.
