We don't need a replacement, didn't even make the bench last week, we all ready have enough players in the squad to cover him going. It's not like we have a back log of cup games to play and are neck and neck for 4th.
Koeman has made it clear he isn't in our plans, no need to replace a player like that.

If the City result isn't a one off...Then yeah.

We'll see today against a side fighting for points.

The guy has made a hobby of not doing what his manager tells him to, it was the same at Seville & I don't see him changing. He just will not do the other part of his job. If he was a finisher he could play up front and he'd be sound but he's not really clinical in front of goal.

I'm currently working in Italy and the local TV just had a lengthy segment on this. According to the Italian fella I was watching it with (I only know swear words in Italian unfortunately), Milan are "calm" about the situation, and it's a situation of "when, not if". Was interesting to watch, as all the footage they had of him playing was from about 4 years ago for Barca (either they don't have the rights to show Everton footage, or more probable, they think he looks more boss in a Barca shirt). But they did show him in Liverpool over Xmas in his blue Santa hat visiting people and delivering presents, at which point the fella asked me "and what the [Poor language removed] is this all about?!" lol

Unfortunately i have to agree he has so much talent for so little end product so couple that with the fact that he needs an oxygen mask after half hour and there you have it.

Still far more useful than a Kone or Gibson though and does get you off your seat sometimes

He's got quality and he's given us moments of magic but if we can get a decent fee after his loan, I don't think he's going to come back to haunt us

Shame all this really. Very good player and a classy individual, just doesn't fit into this current side. Always a twinge of sadness when it doesn't work out, Billy was the same and I fear Mo might go the same way in the future too if he can't stay fit.

Hope it's just a loan and no option to buy, personally think he would make a perfect strike partner for Rom if we continue with this 532 system.

He would be in and around Rom for knockdowns, run the channels, has an eye for a pass and a cross, rapid on the break. Hope to see him in Everton blue again
He certainly shouldn't be sold unless we bring in somebody as good as, or better, to replace him.

We need to have that unpredictable option from the bench when plan A isn't working, or to start games when we expect to have to break down teams.

I think the problem is Gerry wants more game time than RKs prepared to give him. I think it's him pressing for a move rather than RK saying he has not future.

The Guardian Weekly podcast reckon he and Suso have been rivals since their early days in the Spanish u21 set up and don't get on.

Cazzo!!

It is a good deal all round. If he does well and they want to keep him then there will be a significant fee; should we wish to sell. If don't want him or we don't sell and he gets a few games then we get a better player back.
It is good for Geri, new challenge, new opportunity.
