I wish our forwards would attack the near post when he crosses it in. So many of his crosses go into that area, but the other players are either outside the box or on the penalty spot.

You'd think it'd be the kind of thing they'd you know, discuss, and maybe practice in training. This is his 3rd season at the club and still no one attacks his near post crosses

It was the same when he used to fizz them to the back post...and no one was ever there

I'm a huge fan of how the fee increase any time anybody mentions it.

£23mil, going to £28mil with add ons (add ons like qualifying for CL etc)

He did well in the second half yesterday - well at least he tried and actually put some decent crosses in.

Just as with Bolasie though, never anybody making a good run to get on the end of them.

Can't see the Bolasie fan boys singing his praises in here. Our biggest threat, especially when shifted inside - loved the little shimmy in the area late on to take 2 of their defenders out, pulls it back to Barkley who really should have hit it first time but took a touch and the chance was gone.

Keep playing him and he'll only get better. Obviously a confidence player, won't get much of that having someone you're quite clearly better than playing instead of you.

I'm a fan of Bolasie as he's an Everton player and has been our best attacker by far this season.

I'm a fan of Del because he's an Everton player and a very talented one at that. He doesn't deliver consistently enough though.

He did however play well in the second half yesterday. Deserves to play on Tuesday.

Also, he played the full 90 and was still very effective right at the end. He's definitely worked on his fitness.

He cares about Everton too.

His attitude is poor and so is his crossing this season. It's embarrassing for the lad that he came through Barca's youth system and his main objective when he goes out on the pitch is to put crosses in and yet he simply can't do it. That one in the second half he sliced one out of play lol.

I like him and want him to do well, but his head goes down like the rest of them when things aren't going our/his way and he becomes a liability.

Disappointed in both him and Mirallas and I get the feeling that if he doesn't perform soon, he could be out the door in the next season or 2.

why? because he scored a goal against the worst team in the league and bolasie was injured? Bolasie is massively better than zaha, zaha's always been very very overrated. Bolasie's inconsistent but not compared to zaha.

It's only your opinion that Bolaise is better than Zaha mate, don't forget, Palace fans had watched Bolaise and Zaha week in, week out, so are better placed to judge who the better player was for them. The other telling factor was that they weren't exactly arsed when Bolaise left, but were up in arms when it was touted that Zaha could be on his way out.

Quoted as £30m with add ons in some places! Do you think Del is a better option that Bolasie? You swerved my question in the Bolasie thread.

At least we dont need to worry about perfomance related add ons, he won't get 5 goals a season, hideous return for a '£30m' or whatever attacking player.

Why? Because of showmanship? They've got to earn their places on merit which for me they have struggle to do consistently for quite a while.

The real problem is that by dropping these players we've been forced to bring in limited individuals which has no really cause a change in fortunes.

yep, true. But the person i was quoted thinks yesterday proved why he's better, which is an odd statement.
