Love this. After his loan stint I kind of felt like he was a brat that thought he was better than us, but this says a lot to me about how his character has changed.
Given he's been lauded as the next Messi from an incredibly young age I'm personally amazed he is as grounded as he is.

He was earning 150Euros a year with Nike by the time he was 14, compare that to some of the young players who go off the rails with far less hype and money.

if he had that much laying arond in spare change, can your da buy us a new stadium?

Lols at his Instagram. Some dude was whinging for him to come back to Spain so it would help his team chemistry on FIFA16.

I had forgotten just how much he terrorised fulham... (58 seconds onwards)

I've said it on here many times but that game for me he was immense and I know people will probably actually take the piss out of me but I could understand where the tag of the "next Messi" came from. His low centre of gravity, pace, speed and control was simply brilliant to watch. I haven't enjoyed such an individual performance since watching the likes of Kanchelskis.

He's young, gonna make mistakes, a greedy beaut at times but this kid has that bit of magic that will win us games and turn 1 point to 3 and 0 points to 1. He's gonna be an immense player for us I really believe that.

@LinekersLegs absolutely spot on about him being grounded. Can u imagine being part of Barca, day after day getting told your the best thing since sliced bread, probably had all the first team getting told to be nice to the kid because he's their next special talent. Gets sent out on loan to us after probably having no one question his attitude, decision making etc and no wonder he wanted to come back because Martinez done a top job on him, as did the fans but most importantly the squad did as well. Make no mistake, if they thought he was a tit he wouldn't have been welcomed back I don't reckon.

4.2m, absolutely buzzing at paying that for him.

He is absolute lightning isn't he, bloody hell.

Also - he's going to be really, really rusty for a while. He played 28 mins in April, but apart from that he hasn't played a single minute of competitive football since February. FEBRUARY!
He still is absolute lightning but I think he lost a little bit after his injury. That performance at Fulham was unreal although it was also his 2nd game with the first being Stevenage where he was also brilliant and he was full of confidence and hype then.

Messi was the same after his hamstring. It took him over a year before he could fully trust lighting the afterburners again. It wasn't physical but mental.

Most potential weve had on RW since Kanchelskis thats for sure.
