Gerard Deulofeu

As a team we looked much more dangerous with him on the pitch - it was obvious he's lacking a bit of sharpness so wasn't as lightning quick as usual but that's obviously understandable given it was only our 2nd run out

On the other hand though you could see other players already getting a bit frustrated with him for some poor decision making (greediness)

yeah i now recall lukaku and co throwing their arms around in frustration pretty much all the time when he lost the ball or ran it off the pitch last time. If he could just improve this area of his game he could sign for a decent side

It is frustrating when he gets in good positions but does not deliver, but at least he is an attacking option that puts the opposition under pressure. I much prefer a forward pass to Deulofeu that ends up with us winning a corner, rather than passing it side ways and backwards and never getting anywhere at all.

Totally agree mate, throw in the fact that he gets us higher up the pitch, quicker due to a combination of his direct running and defenders dropping off to decrease the space behind them in the event he beats them one on one.

To me, vs Stoke, he showed just how brilliant and how frustrating he's going to be. And I bloody love it haha!

Some of the facebook posts on one of the facebook pages yesterday hurt my eyes. Quite a few was getting on his back much to my surprise, I seen posts like "go back to Sevilla" etc. Plus he didn't even play that bad, his pass to Naismith for his chance was tremendous.

Honestly, why can't some people see he makes us so much better going forward? Yes, he can be frustrating by not passing to the right man at the right time sometimes but that is just all part of developing, the lad is young, he's got huge potential and I think we're extremely lucky to have got him for that cheap from Barcelona.

He has to learn to deal with that. In Spain it seems they get a lot tighter while the English defenders drop back making it very hard for him to beat them on the outside.

I think he's more dangerous on the left where he can cut in and have a shot but even on the right he has to start using his left foot more.
