This banner issue just won't seem to go away. I only have one thing to add: why does the exclamation mark have a tilt similar to earths (on a solstice date). Is it supposed to imply long sunny days ahead for Goodison? But wouldn't the tilt they have applied suggest a northern hemisphere winter solstice. It's a bit confusing isn't it. Perhaps a vertical exclaimation would be less ambiguous as this would suggest an equinox (which is hemisphere daylight neutral).
A lot more discussion on this matter needs to be conducted.

Are you still going on about that banner? It was probably only some excited young kid's effort. OK, it was a bit cringe but hardly deserving of all the opprobrium.
Come tomorrow, I suspect it won't be mentioned again. Believe me mate, this bee in your bonnet about some words on a sheet is a mere trifle...let it go.
