This, you have to be concious of players values, but the price we are allegedly getting him at in the context of our budget, for what we may get from the player is fantastic.
This isnt unusual, Chelsea signed Orlandi on the same basis.
The devil is in the detail im sure there is a time frame and a set fee, but you would have to say with the talent Barca have and could attract the chances of him heading back there are slim, unless he proves Ronaldoesque which is good news for us.
Exactly. Even if the buy-back fee is £5m or something similarly low, it pans out one of three ways:
1) The lad turns into a world beater and Barca buy him back. In this case we get a period of excellent performances from the lad plus make a profit on his sale.
2) The lad does well but not well enough to warrant a place in the Barca first team. In this case he's almost certainly a step up from McGeady et al, and we've got him for next to nothing.
3) The lad doesn't turn out to be anything much at all, in which case we've only spent a small sum on getting him.
In terms of probability, I'd say the middle scenario is most likely, so it's hard to see a downside to this (providing he does sign of course).
