Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Oh we'd need both, definitely. You need a worker on the right and a flair player - we have neither at the moment.

On the left you have two inside forwards in Mirallas and Pienaar. On the right we're very, very weak, hence Osman being used wide right, where he is utter garbage.

McGeady I don't even count at this stage. He was worth a gamble, didn't pay off, needs to be unloaded to a Championship side or one of the newly promoted teams.

We need a Lennon type player on the right to start, and an effective flair player who can play left or right - so Lennon and Deulofeu tick those boxes.

Other than that position, we need a number 10, unless Cleverley is the solution there in Martinez's mind. Everywhere else we're actually pretty strong; arguably a striker but if we set up and play to Lukaku's strengths rather than his weaknesses, we're all set there too.
I'd say we're desperate for a centre half. If Deulofeu signs, then for me Lennon doesn't become a priority.

No problem picking him up nearer to the deadline if his price drops to something more attractive, but Deulofeu and McGeady (ok you don't rate him but he's still a wide right option) is sufficient IMO to then spend remaining monies on a centre half and that number 10 playmaker.

I just can't see why we'd buy Deulofeu, and then spend 6+ million on another player who plays the same position, especially when money is tight and we need strengthening in other areas.

How's his name pronounced again?

I like Deulofeu, he can make things happen a lot of the time. But I'd rather have Lennon if the choice was between them. He's the team player.

Makes no sense to me if we get rid of one player who plays for himself, like Mirallas, and then sign another. We should be looking for players with ability and discipline. That's the way forward. I think some people are maybe forgetting just how infuriating GD was when he was here.
What an old Moyesasaurus.

All about if Mirallas stays really.

I have a problem with it being reported in the Daily Mail.

Are we to beleive it's done (or nearly) as they say as this is good for us?

And then not beleive that they say that United want Stones as this is bad for us?

I believe they do want Stones. If any club had a brain, they'd want Stones.

It's believing they have a prayer of getting him which is the real matter.

Because one is "deal is done" and the other is "contemplating a move".

For the record, I don't really believe either yet.

As we knew,he could be annoying as hell, but at least he got in the positions to be annoying, something we failed a lot last season
