Do you think its any co-incidence that Howard is having his best season for us? Its highly likely that this is down to the fact that for the first time since he arrived he's got an able replacement breathing down his neck. Simply, without Robles (A PERMANENT TRANSFER), its highly unlikely that we would be purring over Howards performances. His past 6 or whatever seasons have been run of the mill 6/10, this year he looks unbeatable.

How can you possible comment on Alcaraz and Kone? They have been unlucky with injuries. For you to cast them as 'a waste of time' beggars belief to be frank. So unless a player hits the ground running at a new club, in a new style, with new team-mates as well as avoiding injuries then they are a waste of time?

One bad club experience in his entire career, during which he suffered big time with injuries. Every other club he's played at he has scored consistently, and even with Sevilla taken into account his goal scoring ratio is 1 in every 3 games.

Clearly a good player. Unlikely to earn a testimonial here but could play an important part in the push for Europe which should be our aim for 2014. What next season may bring is of less interest to me than the possibility of something really decent happening this season. Joe Royle won cup in his first season so who knows. Happy to add to the positivity.

Sorry to break it to the Kone boo boys but come next season he will be leading the line, make no mistake. Bobby didn't spend 5m on him for nothing, he's his biggest fan and has alluded to this numerous times in pressers. People need to get a grip, if he can score 13 goals for Wigan he score goals for us
