82nd is based at Fort Bragg. That‘s over 300 miles from DC. I suppose by US standards that is nearby, but hardly just down the road.

If anything 82nd is there because they maintain higher state of readiness to deploy- military version of a crisis team

And are probably a sight more disciplined than an average infantry outfit.

6% of the population of the USA are black men
52% of homocides in the USA perpetrated by black people, mostly black men.
94% of their victims are black.

Police brutality is a drop in the ocean towards the modern holocaust (death of black people gunned down by other black people) that is happening in the USA.

Every two hours some guy gets shot in Chicago alone, and the odds are it will be a black person shooting another black person.

Not amount of police reform will fix that.

Despite this, 80% of Black people in the USA are out of poverty, most live within their own communities, 800,000 black Americans are millionaires.






The cop that killed that American was going to jail for the rest of his life. There would have been justice.

Scumbags are rioting across America.The riots have just got the Republicans re-elected in the U.S.A probably for the next 10 years.

No offense at all and I get your take. But it really should not be okay to beat men like that either. Accepting that you (general usage you) can get rougher with men, especially black men, aka “thugs”, is all part of this.

And not to really blow this thread up by adding sexism, but that protective vibe can be the flip side of possession and the relic of women as property.

Obviously there is a component for many of generally protecting weaker folks, kids, elderly, etc. I’m not saying all of you are sexist neanderthals

The poverty thresholds dictates the percentages of impoverished Americans

It has been long suggested that it is not realistic because it factors anyone making less than 19k per annum as being in poverty. When in fact it does not consider where they live and coat of living. Nor does it factor in states individual tax rates.

If you live in California for examplr and make less than 30k you could be considered living in poverty simply because its expensive here and good luck living on that.

I would guarantee that 20% is more like 40%

Just look at individual debt rates in the US across the board. People live on credit here and many owe for things like cars and education rather than a mortgage.

You are over simplifying stats to make your point and you are wrong quite frankly.

Do you live in the US? If so where? And what is the average earnings of your friends and neighbors and are they comfortable.

You are using stats to justify that blacks are their own problem which to me is drastically exaggerated if not borderline outrageous.

It summations like yours that are the problem.
