Targeted for being white, or being perceived as rich? The institutions are corrupt, but the target isn't due to lack of melanin, it's to how much money they think they can get. I don't think they treat blacks, bangladeshis bad for money.

Sorry but youre wrong there.

Bangladeshi/indian can be seen as extremely wealthy. In many SE Asian countries for example the wealthy ones came over 2 or 3 generations ago until now....theres $1mil+ minimum houses where most are from that part of the world in both manila and jakarta.

Black people are perceived the same or better than whites in certain countries here because of the celebrities they see on tv and the image.

Please dont make the mistake of thinking otherwise.

Every asian country is totally different. Its not like say UK/France/Spain etc etc where theres familiarity with one another...

In certain countries you wont get credit...a mortgage/cards/bank acct/loan etc

You cant buy a house in a lot of places.

Governments dont allow companies to hire more than 1 foreigner per 4 locals

Some Police will force bribes from you or jail...for nothing...they make up stories and plant drugs.

You may be a target for drink spiking

Lots of people will try and rip you off

Guys/girls will hate you because of your race

People will gossip and lie about you and/or your girlfriend

Etc etc depending on which country.

Stabbings...shootings...gangs dragging guys out of bars

Its all happened here...no white privilege.

Most of what you mention seems to be an issue with being a foreigner rather than being white as such...

I'm sure there's rich white people. Money affords certain privileges in any country. Black people would paint a very different story to you, and I knew all the racist terms for indians in Malay almost as soon as I'd went to visit family.

Would it be worse if you were black?

You tell me;

1: Black British guy smashed up his japanese girlfriend in an elevator in tokyo...in a hotel.

In the lobby security held him and he was taken away...

Called me up out of the blue and asked if he could stay at mine in singapore...

I heard the story from japanese friends and how the police let him go after a week locked up while his gf was still hospitalised.

If that was a white guy the mayor of tokyo would have demanded a max sentence....very very anti white.

2: Black guy (british) in Singapore screaming at a club bouncer about racism as he and his 3 white mates werent allowed in because one of the white guys had flip flops.

Malays came (clubs have them as enforcers) from behind and stabbed the white guy wearing the flip flops. Didnt touch the black guy.

3: Black guy goes into a club in most Asian countries and its instant celebrity status.

Now imagine these things happening to you in your own country and your taxes paying for it.

Can you sum up in one sentence what point you are trying to make there?

Because (if I allow for the fact that all your statements are accurate, even though given some of your recent sources, that could certainly be called into question) it sounds a lot like you're saying "racism is fine because it happens everywhere"

Most of what you mention seems to be an issue with being a foreigner rather than being white as such...

Possibly yes...however

In japan white kids born there are bullied and called gaijin

Mixed race kids are called halfu (half local half foreign) and bullied

China has models who are mixed or local born from expats who are destroyed on social media...

Etc etc

Theres rich people in any race.

Why do you think black people would paint a different picture...they seem to have the time of their lives out here like celebrities.

Fair play to them.

With all this discrimination against white folks across Asia it seems odd that Zat can't get on board with those looking to right their own racial injustices.

We all make our own path and self improve...work hard...socialise and open a route to self actualisation.

If people want to knock me down...racially profile or whatever then i adapt.

Im not going to cry about racism to people...im going to get myself into a better position despite that.

Would i march for foreigner rights in Asia? No chance.

Zat's posts becoming increasingly more bizarre and unconnected.

Its a bit difficult to adapt if you've been choked to death.

I pay taxes in Asian countries. Ive been in Asia for 20 years...i see myself as being here for a long time.

If someone in UK complains about something for example then why not move overseas (as ive done) and make a better life?

Home is where you make it. Unless youre tied down in your home country then why not?

Im also not saying protesting is bad...im saying violent protests + spreading COVID is bad.

Racism happens literally everywhere.

In US the black people went up against the Koreans due to ONE korean shooting ONE black girl....ALL koreans were punished.

Im sure theres been opposite situations as well.

But racism wont be changed by a group of people protesting, rioting and looting during a pandemic.

The only ones who will benefit from this are the middle class and higher who are liquid and will profit from an economic recession.

Real estate in those black communities will see a drop in value allowing wealthy people or companies to come in and buy them at knockdown prices.

The poor communities will be driven out.

Look at London, some of the gentrified places used to be ghettos...the difference in the US will be that the rich will buy them up and kick out the locals.
