I had to look it up - basically, folks advocating that state legislatures can't be bound or reined in by state courts in administering election law, or by state constitutional amendments, etc. - totally crap in my view, but with the make up of our Supreme Court these days, they elected to hear it.....

Awful, hope she makes a full recovery

This is so sad. Heartbreaking to read. She’s basically the same age as my older daughter.
I do wonder if this is something that really needed to be reported given her age and the nature of what has transpired.

Tbh given his high profile I'm not sure it could have avoided being reported - there was a lot of coverage of Obama's and Bush's underage kids even for fairly minor stuff and that was when the press was a little less intrusive.

I do hope, although without much optimism, that the family can now be left alone to deal as best they can with it in private.

She would characterize it as being reduced to tears by the consequences said people will suffer.

That strikes me as irrational as all get out, but so is faith of any stripe by any reasonable standard. One definition of 'faith' is 'the willful choice to reject logic, reason and evidence'. People do it anyway. Seems to work well for some of them, so I'm not going to judge.
