Ok so DC isnt a state. The people who live in DC dont get to vote?
They vote in the Presidential election. DC has the same number of electoral college votes as the state with the smallest population.

In Congress (I think) DC has a single delegate who doesn't get to vote on motions on the floor of the House.

They have no representation in the Senate.

Many in the US have forgotten or never known that we are not a Christian nation.
This is true, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t feel like we are. They manage to hold up so much meaningful progress with their regressive bull****. I mean, thanks to them, it’s 2020 and there is still substantive debate taking place as to whether women and LGBT are deserving of equal rights. And of course, by substantive debate, I mean cases about to be ruled on by a Supreme Court who almost certainly thinks they aren’t.
