Along these same lines...Last night, the city where I live convened a meeting to debate and ultimately vote on a making masks mandatory. After several hours of back and forth, they voted and passed the mandate. Within an hour, the local sheriff issued the following statement

There are serious questions as to the constitutionality of the order made by the health board. My Deputies are sworn to support and defend the constitution. We will rely on the citizens of this community to protect themselves and others in the manner they find appropriate.

In short, he has absolutely no intention of enforcing it.

Stuff like this is why we’re so screwed during the pandemic. If only we had a real president who was interested in getting the whole country on the same page during this difficult time.

The people that believe masks are violations of their rights are the same people who would see 5yr olds go to school with a bulletproof backpack and go through traumatic shooter drills.

Bet these lot also want to control womens bodies by denying abortion rights though
