Well, it looks like we're sending the army to protect the border from hoards of nannies, car washers, fruit pickers and gardeners. Time to stop this scum from being net contributors to our economy and society.
Heavens sakes, there could be refugees from Yemen hid among them and if everyone is leaving Yemen, the Saudis will have no one to bomb and Raytheon will have no one to sell missile guidance systems to and Jimmy in Lowell might lose his job!

Edit, never mind, Jimmy just joined the army and is off to defend the southern border. Hooray for high stakes social welfare.

So, what exactly will these troops be doing? Setting up a single armed line? Defense in depth?

I'm seriously wondering as previous troops deployed to the border have been used in support roles to free up border patrol staff for primary duties - if (biggest word in the English language) this caravan all attempt to claim asylum at the border in line with current protocols, what will the troops actually be doing? I'm assuming the caravan(s) won't suddenly all attempt to rush the border so that 5% get across unimpeded while 95% are rounded up?

It's almost like the decision to send troops there isn't on the level.

Don Jnr’s own wife opened a threatening letter containing white powder and ended up in hospital. Thankfully it also turned out to be non toxic but he would have thought it vile and ridiculous for Dems to minimise the impact of the letter and blame it on a Republican trying to win sympathy for the Trumps.

That's just it - had these mailings gone to Fox Television, George W. and George H.W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and some Republican-leaning Hollywood type, it would be the biggest thing in the world in Republican-land - the President would be spending every moment talking about it, Congress would be called back into session, Fox' website & TV would be all mail bomb all the time.......

Stupid filter - it's his name!

Whatever they will be doing we can all be assured that they will be treated with dignity and respect because that is the top-down message from Trump. Just think of it like a modern day Ellis Island but without doctors and compassion, and with a lot more angry racist mobs with guns as well as an unneeded military presence.

The problem with Donald Jr. is that he is an unintelligent silver-spoon prick, just like his dad.

On the positive side, while there's big, mostly untested questions over whether his dad can be criminally prosecuted while in office, no such questions exist for Jr.

The day he ends up in an orange jumpsuit will be a particularly enjoyable one.
