For some historical context and reference here, the UNAbomber mailed a total of 16 bombs over 17 years. This was 10 bombs (so far) in two days.
It's almost like the decision to send troops there isn't on the level. So, what exactly will these troops be doing? Setting up a single armed line? Defense in depth?
I'm seriously wondering as previous troops deployed to the border have been used in support roles to free up border patrol staff for primary duties - if (biggest word in the English language) this caravan all attempt to claim asylum at the border in line with current protocols, what will the troops actually be doing? I'm assuming the caravan(s) won't suddenly all attempt to rush the border so that 5% get across unimpeded while 95% are rounded up?
I don't doubt that troops are being sent - just seems to me to be much more about being seen "doing something" about a supposed emergency situation. It's almost like the decision to send troops there isn't on the level.
That's what I meant. Well sort of. It's about trying to make a situation SEEM like an emergency and a threat.I don't doubt that troops are being sent - just seems to me to be much more about being seen "doing something" about a supposed emergency situation.
Don Jnr’s own wife opened a threatening letter containing white powder and ended up in hospital. Thankfully it also turned out to be non toxic but he would have thought it vile and ridiculous for Dems to minimise the impact of the letter and blame it on a Republican trying to win sympathy for the Trumps.
Stupid filter - it's his name! That's just it - had these mailings gone to Fox Television, George W. and George H.W. Bush, [Poor language removed] Cheney, and some Republican-leaning Hollywood type, it would be the biggest thing in the world in Republican-land - the President would be spending every moment talking about it, Congress would be called back into session, Fox' website & TV would be all mail bomb all the time.......

On the positive side, while there's big, mostly untested questions over whether his dad can be criminally prosecuted while in office, no such questions exist for Jr.The problem with Donald Jr. is that he is an unintelligent silver-spoon prick, just like his dad.
