Office addresses of former presidents are easy to find - all mail / packages will go through screening & x-ray for explosives, lethal agents, etc. It's an everyday process for all items received, regardless of known or unknown sender.

Speaking of the Senator

Last night Cruz joked that Beto O’Rourke belonged in a jail cell with Hillary Clinton which is an interesting interpretation of civility.

Gaffney's an idiot, was an idiot and will continue to be an idiot. Perhaps the addressees wouldn't be harmed, but how about those fellow Americans who are doing the screening?

As for those who use the concept of violence or imprisonment lightly, a little dose of Gandhi might not be a bad idea:

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”

Sneaking in under the noise of everything else:

How do we have 3 gubernatorial candidates advocating for a roll-back on child vaccination requirements? Setting aside the drama of a Daily Beast headline referring to a GOP epidemic, how does anyone take the anti-vax campaign seriously? And, how do we let people who may have positions of authority about this even come close to public office? If anti-vaxxers are relying on herd immunity to protect their kids, wouldn't they be classic free-riders in an economic sense? Definitely not GOP to my mind!

Ugh. Political policy idiocy is one thing, but scientific idiocy is quite another.

The thing is with the mid-terms almost upon us, you can easily guess the false-flag argument: if these bombs were from pro-Trump crazies it would do obvious damage to floating voters' perceptions of Trump's administration while galvanising them to vote otherwise. Ergo, a pro-Trump crazie couldn't have been the culprit.

My own view is that lots people are very stupid, and the problem with false-flag conspiracy theories is that while historically a few have been proven correct, many of them are difficult to organise...and people are stupid, even those with the power to organise false flags.

I wouldn't completely discount it, but my money is on an idiot or three.
