there is a need for clarity on funding vis-a-vis LCC.

For what it's worth, which is absolutely nothing because it's just my opinion ... When they were talking about the money from the council I came away thinking it was much the same as the previously announced arrangement ( barring the amount ) so I'm a bit surprised to read stuff on here to the contrary.

I may have missed something tonight, but I can't see the council directly signing off a loan to the club. If they end up being anything apart from a conduit between a lender ( or consortium ) and the club, then I'll be very surprised.

Two things, one of substance, one of presentation:

Substance - there is a need for clarity on funding vis-a-vis LCC...and the chuckle heads in charge tonight failed to provide it.

Presentation - our club's owner has dragged the name of the club into the gutter because he couldn't hold his ale/tongue *delete as appropriate*.
He's a Muslim, I doubt he drinks, mate.

Well 2/3 the council and the rest who knows TV money + Chinese Overdraft + naming rights deal?

Effing sick of the negativity of our fans lately nothing's ever good enough.

Only disappointment should be how Walsh still has a job after the summer debacle.

I don't believe the council has a penny in their pocket to give us and I'm convinced that this all stems from a misunderstanding after Anderson called the SPV an "investment".

Don't hold your breath expecting 300 million off of the council.

Lost a lot of respect for him tonight. Anyone of any standing knows that they should control what they say as a minimum. Moshiri seems to be yet another overly romantic loose cannon. Some of those comments are unbelievable.

Yeh, I'm sure he made his billions by being overly romantic

Must be some billionaires on here...

I think you'r right. It's still gonna be the SPV route where the council source the funding, they lend it to us, we pay it back with interest and a fee, win for us with lower interest, win for Joe and the council with the extra money paid back and the investment.

I think Elstones waffling was the issue and his lack of communication skills caused a lot of angst and misunderstanding.
