As with any of these players we are linked to I always perform the following test, do they look great in the you tube videos? Are they overpriced? Can we tempt them into a long eye wateringly expensive contract meaning we have to keep them come what may? Will the fans be excited thinking this will be the signing that will transform our team? And lastly is there a high probability that they will be utter tripe once they get here?

If you can answer no to too many of those then I have my doubts if they will fit right in.

dont know on him, I’m sure he’ll end up being a great player but right now we need steel and bite- a 20 year old who is being shifted due to falling out of favour doesn’t fit the bill

Seen abit of this lad and abit of young Tyler Onyanogo in the u23s.
There is nothing Gedson Fernandes can do that Tyler wont be able too in 6-12 months with the right training and opportunity

Different times, those. Moyes had peanuts to act in the transfer market and, for sure, none of those players was bought the same scaled amount Benfica will demand to allow the kid to go.

We need different things, right now. And we have the money.

Check how many minutes the kid plays every game and then assess the fact that Benfica will be looking for, at least, 15M€ (and I believe this heavly undervalued). News, here, are stating that Chelski is up to loan the kid with an option for a permanent deal of 65M€.
