I always said when Gary Naysmith gives 100 % then he will be a regular at Everton but he always gave 99.9 % which is sad.

When I think back I don't think Naysmith was that bad. He made bad things in his years here.. yes, I don't deny it and can't do it either. But please remember also that he had to try and help out the two central defenders with pace and protection so he had to leave his position to help out... When that pairing split up, Naysmith started to play much better.

I was one who slammed him each time I got, but in hindsight... I don't think I was fair to him.

maybe thats for him, maybe not.

i was at the blackburn FA cup game - the boo he got from the main stand after his passes was as much anticipation than anything else. i didnt agree with it, but i understood it.

How many from the early Moyes era have now become coaches and managers? Naysmith, Stubbs, Unsworth, Weir, Carsley, Beattie, Big Dunc... quite incredible really.
