Yeah but honestly if they happened to be the best candidate* I wouldn't care.

*insisting on giving all games equal time, no more than 30s jibber jabber/introduction, random play list not always rs/man u/ manc /arsenal etc first

I know this isnt down to the presenter. Not really bothered, haven't watched motd for over 15 years - way too much chat and attempts to justify cheating.

Alex Scott was truly awful the times she fronted MotD 2 so it's got to be Mark Chapman who is a top presenter. Gabby Logan a good alternative.

I still can't fathom out why Lineker wasn't kept on. He could've done it for another 5/10 years at least. Good to see him in his Everton bib kit on the opening credits of MotD this season though.

Pretty much. He's the best they have. I think Alex Scott is better as a pundit, and despite Gabby Logan and Kelly Somers being great too, they're not as good as Chapman is.

I'd be fine if they went back to the Des Lynam style host that doesn't pretend to be an expert and got someone like Gabby Logan or Kelly Cates, I think they're both good presenters. Alex Scott is a pretty awful presenter but fine as a pundit.

It's got to be one from Chapman or Logan really, depends which way they want to go - pub expert type or neutral presenter.
