Not sure I agree with the Barkley shouts. Love the guy and think he's got the world at his feet, but he's never been great when he's had to actually think about what he's doing with the ball. Not a fan of tracking back when the ball's lost either and a holding mid needs some tenacity and bite about them. Can Koeman teach that? Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Would love Fabregas but not realistic unless we're comfortably sitting top 4 come January and Chelsea have slipped.

Schniederlin has premier league experience and knows how Koeman works, probably the most realistic of all the options.

As mentioned a hundred times already by others, Carvalho is who I'd personally want and we do need a midfielder to cover Gueye when he goes to AFCON in January anyway. Could be a good bedding in period for him to learn from Gaz Baz and then come next season the transition may begin.

Sorry Lune for me he has had time aplenty, just one of those players that spends more time in the treatment room than on the pitch and I would be surprised if this season is any different from his previous ones,we have enough of those already.

honestly he spends half his time playing side to side and doing nothing that great

but he plays for arsenal and the media love him so everyone pretends to be impressed

Scares me thinking he could get injured this season.

It's clear to see Koeman isn't impressed with our options in midfield. I imagine he will spend big on his replacement and that will be the only way we could replace him

I think we should go for vejinovik from feyenoord; from the admittedly little I've seen of him he can pick a pass, seems positionally aware and doesn't mind a tackle
he's 26 so right around the age koeman seems to be going for

I doubt we will consider purchasing a replacement for Barry this season. We already have McCarthy,Besic and Davies to name three who would be given time to prove their worth,and Barry is still on top form anyway. It's our attack that needs the urgent attention this season.
