The only games where they have both been fit at the same time are games 2,3,4 although given Besic only lasted 9 mins before his hammy went in game 5 no guarantee he was actually fit enough.

There is also game 19 vs Stoke when McCarthy only lasted 26 minutes anyway.

There are a couple of players in the team who need changing before we get to Barry. Given the players we have available Barry has done well for us.

Much better lately. I thought he was a shambles all last season. However I still feel he gets too far forward during matches as he hasn't the pace to get back in position when the top sides break against us. How Martinez hasn't got him to stay back more puzzles me. Watching him bomb forward when we were in the lead was doing my head in. We were 1 up and he was just outside our box when mirrallas scored. If it was booted out he doesn't have the pace to get back. He got caught like this against city when navas scored.Just hold midfield like. Not exactly blaming him but really Martinez needs to address this esp if we have the lead.

Don't think Chelsea was the best of his games as thought he tired a bit towards the end but given the number of minutes he's played this season and his age this is an impressive stat.

He's been decidedly better than last season. Still think Gibson getting into the team now and again would not go amiss to move the ball quicker.

Tbf @RFUS has been one of his staunchest supporters this season and Barry did struggle at times last year.
