Meh. Killing off the best/most noble characters all the time doesn't make for a good story. Imo. It might be 'shocking', but it just pisses me off.
Hard to disagree with this tbh. All building up to a Stark v Lannister war and then absolutely out of nowhere Martin changes the script, makes the hours of build up seem a bit odd.
i like that though, totally unexpected for someone like me who hasn't read the books.

They way it's written is for Danaerys to be the ultimate winner. Having the Starks beat the Lannisters would result in the eventual good v good scenario, something they want to avoid as every good story has good v bad.
