Just seen the latest episode. The scriptwriters are good at creating suspense, this is one of the few series that has truly gripped me. However, the writing in this series lacks intelligence it subtlety.
Denerys flying her dragons, and bringing her fleet needlessly near kings landing - my thoughts were - why in earth would she do that, when her ground forces are a long way off?
Why didn't she then fly being the fleet that was firing at her and torch them from behind while they turned?
What's going on with security at Winterfell when a sellsword, whose been nowhere near the battle can waltz up from the south to the Lanisters with a crossbow in his hand?
Archer's ordered to draw and hold. Ever drawn a bow? You draw, aim and loose - you don't draw and aim at a subject indefinitely. That's what crossbows are for.
I guess this is what happens when you get Hollywood apes to take over from a writer with imagination and research capabilities.
