G20 Summit

Wouldnt you have a pop at some scruffy tree dweller with green dreadlocks if he tried throwing flour at you on your way to work?:D

I've put up with mate. I was working in Stirling during the last one held here and hemmed in with them at the railway station with coppers and snarling dogs. I wished a pox on them and the coppers for the incident. What i have to smile at is that they dont need the anti-capitalist protests anymore. They should just go around to that Excel Centre and applaud the daft cnut world leaders for allowing the 'light touch' non-existent regulation that's wrecked the system and ask them to keep up the good work. These protests are redundant.

Really pissed me off this phony little protest. Gang of part-time no-marks who went purely to say 'I was there'. Tourists.

And also, Sky, I pay you a **** tonne of money for that subscription, and you repeatedly try and tout how amazing your News service is, perhaps next time you can use my subscription to buy an actual camera to film the protest, instead of some slow moving, pixellated camera phone bollocks.

BBC NEWS | UK | Police clash with G20 protesters

Pantomime stuff in comparison to what's gone on in the past. The coppers have penned the protestors outside the RBS so they can have a go at the banks windows and get it off their chests before moving them on. Job done.

It could get worse later I suppose, but this seems even more low key then the Gleneagles summit and the 'riot' in Stirling...and that was just a few cars and a retail park getting trashed.

Do you remember Monarch of the Glen on BBC1 on a Sunday night?

Ive got mates up in Stirling and Alloa way, did you stay up there?

As for the protesters, I sincerely hope they get a real good water cannoning and shoeing off the police for their troubles.

Yes mate. I used to live up there - in Striling and Bridge of Allen. Lovely place - except they let Scots in.

Just slightly off topic: did anyone see the Obamas visit to Buck House? Phil the greek looked like he diidn't know whether to shake their hands or have them flogged.

Do you frequent the Stirling bar scene much?

My other half is from Fife.

When I was up there there was the Sportsters (full of big screens and ****e 'lad' atmosphere) and the Fubar (dont ask - and frequented by students from the Uni). The boozers were alright in the town and there's loads of bistros - the Barnton Bar was probably the best of them. That was all of 4/5 years ago. I'm hoping to get up there again next week as I'm heading to Glasgow anyway on some work stuff.

I know a couple of the lads off the Fu Bar. One of the door lads, "T", is a very good friend of mine. He's since left, he's married to my bird's best mate.

I love them up there, bit mad when theyre drunk like but sound all the same. I've wore a kilt for a couple of weddings round those parts too.
