Could have handled? He’s our ONLY right back, it’s not a case of can be handle something, he has to be the first option regardless of the fixture.

tbh, depending of course how this pans out, if he brings in branthwaite, patterson, one of the midfielders for gana and dibling/george for armstrong on tuesday and we get 4 points I’m not wholly against it

Earlier this season Armstrong was viewed as the last choice option behind all our other central midfielders and requiring a loan at Preston.

Now he’s apparently ahead of all our right hand side options including Dibling and George both of whom have played much more PL football than him.

Make it make sense, we were flipping a coin as to whether to send him back on loan to Preston and now he’s our starting right winger.

The loan was the right decision.

Sticking him out of position on the right is the failure of what Moyes should have seen at Preston.

Each time they played him further to the right, he got lost in the game..

Patterson should be RB.
Odd position for Armstrong. Branswaite on the bench is hopefully just due to fitness / easing him back in.
Team just isn't balanced with big Jake playing out of position. We looked so much better when Patterson came on last week.

One team will try to win this game, the other will try not to lose. We might get lucky, but fortune often favours the brave when two evenly-matched opponents meet. They'll be in our box more than we'll be in their's - and that's why they are more likely to get a break.

Moyes has always been competent - but football, when you are throwing the cups and winning nothing - has to be about entertainment, too. Moyes doesn't provide enough of it.

Thing is it's obviously fine if we win, but increasingly these lineups are going to be an issue if any result doesn't go how we want. We have a full squad available and are playing loads of players out of position, for what? To get Keane in the side?

Moyes is painting a target on his own back, and will have to take full responsibility if we lose.
