An army of cry babies stamping their feet wont influence the actions of owners who look at this and think: "WTF are these entitled tits chattering about? The feller is doing his job as far as we're concerned. We dont care if you want your route one muck back. It'll cost if we took your advise to get rid and then we could saddle ourselves with an utter weapon who'll take us down. We see a load of value getting heaped on those assets in blue jerseys and the PL tv cash cow is safe as houses".

That's pretty much the guts of it right there ^^^.

They also know that if (as last week) we get a one result and nose our way into 8th the screams go away.

In short, we're at a point which the mathematician philosopher, John Nash, would call 'suboptimal equilibria': no one's completely happy with the situation, but it has stability for now so we carry on with that.
The owners are weak an clueless.
The new owners will not stand for the useless clown and his tactics.
Going backwards under coco and 4 home wins in 8 months would not be tolerated by an owner who wants us competing for trophies.
Your heart will be broke come may

How did you get any of that from what I wrote. People who do and don't go the game can 'Cry' all they want and about what they want, nor am I saying that the criticism Barkley gets (gets a tougher deal than other players) is right.

Everyone has their own opinions on Everton and individual players, that goes without saying. My issue is with posters spending more time criticising the atmosphere than they do the manager who has single handedly created the anxiety amoungst the fan base.

TBH goat this won't be the first time I have said it but I genuinely believe match going fans do have a bigger voice than non match going fans. I've been consistent on that whenever the issue has popped up. NEA. An I don't go the game at all BTW. Criticise all you want about Everton issues, slagging off fans, in an age when the cost of football is a massive issue issue, is a poor do. Even worse from those that don't go.

Don't see how anyone can knock Everton fans. Years of absolutely nothing to trumpet and yet they're still largely supportive of a manager delivering bottom half finishes. The real question should be why is Martinez eliciting negative reactions from a crowd that almost as one backed Moyes for 11 trophy less years? Instead one of the most loyal and patient fan bases in the league get slagged off for displaying an ounce of ambition. At any club we would consider as a peer either historically or in the present day the fans would have turned more than 12 months ago. United, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, he wouldn't even be manager the fan discontent would have been so bad. Is that right? No. Is it right to knock long term match going fans? No.

But we had the making of a fantastic squad when people wanted him out first time. And some of what was dished up was much worse than now.
I'm really not a Martinez apologist, I'd just rather not risk disrupting this squad when we can do things to improve with him still here
We are not improving though mate we are going backwards.

Not counting june and july.
We never won a game last may at home and the 7 months this season including feb.
Thats 8 months mate and i know how disgusted you feel but don't worry the clown will be gone very soon
6 and a half months it is: all of the season from the second week of August until now.

Bit of a difference between 6 and a bit months and "10 months" isn't it? I'm sure you weren't trying to make it sound more dramatic, of course. :coffee:

There are no new owners and wont be. It's all a ruse.

Didn't you get that?

*sigh*

Its nearly 8 months mate and its still not good.
If it was moyes you would be the 1st shouting for him to be sacked and rightly so.
Take a step back and look at how poor coco is as a manager and remember he ruined wigan and the longer he is here we will be going down the wrong path

It's hard to argue against that except I don't see things being progressive in that way. Sometimes something just clicks. Players suddenly get each other. Or a player or two suddenly makes them feel like warriors. That's what happened in the mid eighties and kind of what's happened with Leicester and Spurs this year

Agreed. I also think it's a good point you make about the fans and ambitions. The ambitions may be slightly higher now than under Moyes because of the calibre of the squad Martinez has created, to his credit.

It's 4 wins in 14 matches at home, which is atrocious. But look at the upside: we're still in touch the team right up their in 6th place. Think of what we could do if the fantastic away form could be reproduced.

Yeah but the longer he is here the worse we are getting.
I hear what you are saying but its the tactics that need to change and not the players and that won't happen.
How long have you been supporting by the way

We are also 11th and a bad run of away results would have us going the other way.
I hope you are right but i cannot see it under martinez

They are riding in as we speak to save the day
That might be the sound of doors shutting you're hearing there.

Not looking great on that front. Good thing too. Sounds like they're a bunch of carpet baggers, and we dont need anymore of them

Patience is required on the 'takeover' front. It could be a year away or more. Better to wait a lot longer and get it right rather than saddle ourselves with a Texan Kenwright.
