From an Everton supporters point of view....

Would you celebrate Everton winning the Europa Conference League?

I think its incredibly sad that we are seeing a mediocre Westham side lifting European silverware.

We spent years under Moyes and a little bit after him competing in and around europa league spots. Then as soon as this confrence league starts to emerge we drop right off.

If this happened 15yrs ago we would have been guranteed European football every season almost.

It might not be the UCL but still who cares its progress, momentum, silverware and european trips. All of that promotes a winning mentality, good vibes and attracts money and players.
Dont know how anyone couldnt want it for us

Good enough for this fella, good enough for us.

I don’t agree with the ‘years off qualifying’ point of view. It wasn’t long ago that Moyes saved West Ham from relegation and then had them qualify for Europe in the next two seasons. Even this season, West Ham only finished 3 points ahead of us.

It takes one decent season to qualify for Europe. It doesn’t take ten years of incremental progress.

Like all new trophies, they often take a few years to take off and be accepted by the fans as worthy. We didn't even enter the league Cup when it began in the early sixties.
West Ham winning It just means yet another team has won silverware since we last did so, it must be getting close to 20 different clubs now since 1995.

I have gone nearly 30 years without a trophy - one I can remember on my lifetime. I would be missing in Prague right now covered in cocaine and singing ZCARS so out of tune that I wouldn't know what I was singing and in someone’s ket den. So yeah I would. It’s a trophy you have to qualify for and with a respectable league position and beat a number of teams. Also let’s remember that we’ve been knocked out of competitions by the likes of Shrewsbury/Tranmere/Port Vale/ Liverpools under 2s/ reading / Millwall x 2/ Bradford/Birmingham

So yeah I would celebrate it
Don't forget York City in 1996.

Weird, a club goes 28 years without winning a single trophy at all and some fans would turn their noses up at one, really ? Meanwhile our beloved Chairman and board continues to hide in an underground bunker, not a signing in sight and an owner who looks like he wants to throw his hand in.People in glass houses. Right now I'd settle for a new Chairmsn, CEO and board, with a plan and an average transfer budget.

It's a trophy, we'd all be made up to win it, especially a European one.

It's fair to mention that the level of competition is garbage, though. At the end of the day this West Ham team only managed 4 more points than us this season, so I think it does show how the money and the value of squads in the English game is completely mental compared with other leagues.

I'm just gutted this competition wasn't around when Moyes was our manager as we'd have probably been to this what Sevilla are to the Europa league.
