From a Malcontent perspective

My point is that lots of people react more positively to a situation where we lose a late lead and end up drawing. Compared to a situation where we are drawing and end up losing.

But when you end up drawing from a winning position you lose double the points 2, compared to when you lose from a drawing position 1. So really losing a lead late is much more disappointing.
Getting one point is more disappointing than getting no points?

I mean, I get what your saying, but in general the fact we were winning means we played better and there’s more positives + the fact you actually still end up with a point makes you feel better.
Also, can you lose something you don’t actually have ? (I say having checked where we would be with 4 more points from last 3 games)

Why do people react to a late goal better that leads to a draw than they do that leads to a loss. As a draw late goal is double as damaging point wise

I get your point on the points situation. But I think overall its human nature to not want to lose irrespective of what's at stake points wise. Of coirse if you needed a certain amount of points to win a trophy or not get relegated the reaction could be different.

Instead of more positively, do you mean less negatively? I think in your context that that might work more bettererist. 🤪
